Ms. Rescigno and her class did a great job organizing Whittier’s Closet in the Hemlock St. building. From 12-2 today, tomorrow the 28th, and Thursday the 29th in the Hemlock St. library parents and families are welcome to take clothing needed for their Whittier children for free. If you have any gently used items to donate, we are accepting those as well!
We will also have table set up at the Orchard St. building with all of the lost and found items. If you are missing items please check the table! Thank you!

at McNichols Plaza Elementary School
Our students created Thanksgiving greeting cards for patients of Hospice of the Sacred Heart. The art project was under the supervision of art instructor Sarah Strong! The cards are included with meals that are prepared by Mansour’s Market, then packaged and delivered by hospice staff members and volunteers on Thanksgiving Day. It’s a great feeling to help others!
Mrs. Squanto visited the Orchard St. students today for a special Thanksgiving visit.

Some of our 5th graders joined National Geographic classrooms from Massachusetts, Connecticut and Illinois to jump on board The Exploration Vessel Nautilus to explore the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Southern California today!
Thank you to Multiplication Nation for sending us ideas to spark awesome problem solving conversations with factors and multiples. Once the lightbulbs went off our 4th grade students were rolling with the strategy 😎!
